Scientific-engineering developments


Group organizer: Central Institute of Aviation Motors (CIAM), The Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI)

The program is aimed at developing search skills of optimal and well-established scientific methods.

The main aim is to master a comprehensive scientific approach by the example of creation of small aircraft technology.

Formats of classes: lectures, seminars, trainings, team games, practical exercises.

Main topics:

  • Trends of developing aerospace areas;
  • New technologies and their implementation features;
  • Research and modelling methods;
  • Computer calculations of characteristics;
  • Aerodynamics and flight dynamics;
  • Methods of design and construction of modeling.

Participants are divided into teams of 5-6 people.

The tasks of each team:

  • to create unmanned aerial vehicle on the basis of the knowledge gained;
  • to learn to justify the correctness of the decision made;
  • to learn to work efficiently in a team;
  • to calculate the optimal aircraft design and components

The result of the program will be competitions on the launch and development of created solutions, which will assess the accuracy of flight tasks.

The educational program will finish with a competition of projects prepared in teams. Requirements to the participants of the program: aerospace or engineering training, work at the enterprise of the appropriate direction.
